Global Student Leader Media Team

The Global Student Leader Media Team members will work alongside the ASLT and GSLT in their local area to mentor current and upcoming Student Leaders in media as well as to support the Global Leadership Team in the creation and production of media to further promote the mission & vision of ICC to a global market. 

This is a 12 month commitment from July - June.

 OBJECTIVES

  • to mentor students and student leaders in media production
  • to gain experience in pre-production & production of media creation
  • to plan & facilitate media production calls on an area and global level
  • to build connections with adult leadership
  • to grow in responsibility & leadership
  • to shape the future of ICC student leadership roles

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS

  • Guild Inductee 
  • 16-years-old or older
  •  OCC Certification (taken in two parts: Online Basics and Online Intermediate)
  • Peacemaking Intro
  • Chapter Mentor, or serving as Student Leader having met eligibility for Chapter Mentor within the past year
  • RSA or PREP Team within the past 12 months
  • Applicant will need to have participated live on a minimum of 6 SL Video Connections (YSG Video connections and/or quarterly Global SL connections)
  • Have participated in 1 of the following ICC Media Programs in the previous 12 months:
  • IGNITE Media Team
  • iCON Media Team
  • Media PREP (Summer Institute)
  • Frame It Up!

COMMITMENTS

GSLMT members must be able to commit to:

  • At least one international event (either IGNITE Winter Retreat or iCON)*and the preparation time at the Training Center beforehand
  • As well as one local training event (such as the fall conference)
  • One local ICCFS Tournament
  • Area training as available
  • Available to commit to all YSG Video Connections and all Global Student Leader Connections during 12 month term 
  •  East Asia applicants may substitute PREP for the 1 international training event.

 

APPLICATION 

NEW: Due date for applications is APRIL 6th! Fill out the form now so you can get started early. 

Due date for classroom assignments is April 11th.

  • Talk to your Chapter Sponsor about your interest in the GSLMT.
  • Fill out an application. 
    • Click the button below and fill out the Advanced Student Leader 2022 Application, then submit your application fee. You will then receive an email with a code to join the Classroom. The email you put on the application is the email that has the code.
  • Use the classroom code sent to the email on your application to enter the Advanced Leadership Classroom in the Academy.
    • Recommendation requests, Student Leadership Liability, Waiver, and Medical Form Request, and other Required Documents are all found in this classroom.
  • Submit your Media Highlights Reel in the Classroom. You can include any ICC media that you have helped to create.


IMPORTANT: Application & Membership Renewal !

  1. Students will receive notice that they are accepted into the GSLMT role.
  2. Once accepted, ASLT, GSLT,and GSLMT will pay their Advanced SL enrollment of $250. Due before June 15.
  • Students must also renew their membership during the renewal period, before May 18.

 $200 of this $250 is a downpayment to be applied later to iCON/IGNITE or EA PREP in 2023.

  • $250 = the $200 plus $50 SL Enrollment (discounted from the $97).
  • We're offering a two-payment option, which requires a service fee.


HIGHLIGHT REELS


Hightlight Reels will be evaluated for:

  • Creativity in the editing
  • Variety of content
  • Professional composition
  • Appropriate titles/credentials   


Highlights Reel needs to include Your 5 best pieces of media -- this could include any of the following:

  • Powerpoint / Keynote slide decks
  • Slideshow (still images)
  • Graphic Design Work (brands, posters, flyers, etc.)
  • Photography (portraits, landscapes, creative shots, etc.)
  • Video (short film, commercial, training video, promo, live recordings, etc)
  • Audio (podcasts, original music recording, etc.)
